Edward Kemp Community Garden and Growing Area Volunteering Day
June 5
The Edward Kemp Community Garden is inviting volunteers to take part in small tasks around the garden on the 5th of June. The garden volunteering is a wonderful opportunity to become active and learn about the environment in a social, welcoming atmosphere. The Edward Kemp Community Garden is a key valued aspect of Birkenhead Park as the growing area establishes a health and well-being setting for community bonding and space for engagement with nature, movement, and agriculture.
Tasks for volunteers around the garden include clearing and replanting bee-friendly flowers and bulbs, building a landscape mound by the pond area, and seeding wildflowers.
Come along to connect with the environment and support the Edward Kemp Community Garden and Growing Area.
Please wear suitable footwear and gloves if you have them.
Refreshments will be provided on the day.
