An Autumn Walk in the Park!

Bradbury Fields is the leading provider of support and services for blind and partially sighted people in Liverpool. The Charity aims to help blind, partially sighted and people with dual sensory impairments to achieve their potential, giving them the ability to contribute to the social and economic fabric of their local communities.
They also organise social events including regular Sunday walks across the region and on Sunday 15th November a group of 16 people and 2 guide dogs visited Birkenhead Park.
Gill Smith, one of the Friends of the Park, joined the group on their walk around providing information about the history of our lovely park and throwing in some tall tales – yes there really were elephants in the park in the 1970’s!!
The group enjoyed the walk (particularly the dogs Mason and Pepper) and also the wonderful weather we had on that day, showing the park off at its Autumnal best. They were so impressed that a return visit in the Spring is planned!
